Lumkile Mondi
Lumkile is currently employed by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) in Johannesburg, South Africa as Chief Economist.
He is a member of the State Owned Enterprises Presidential Review Committee. Previously Lumkile served as a member of President Mbeki’s Economic Advisory Panel. As a fellow of the African Leadership Initiative (ALI), he is engaged in influencing leaders to be socially conscious in addressing community issues to meet the Millennium Development Goals by 2014. He also serves on the Boards of Arcellormittal South Africa and Yard Capital.
His professional interests include financial economics, trade and political economy. He has written and presented at conferences on economic development problems faced by the South African economy.
