Professional, competent and experienced meeting management
All network groups in EGN South Africa are headed by a professional chair with experience and competence within the group’s subject area. Many of our chairs come from executive positions in large companies and organisations.
The chair’s tasks:
Chair. Manages time and ensures that the agenda stays on track. This ensures all members get the most out of meetings.
Facilitator. Helps to steer the dialogue and ensure energy and professional benefits in the group. In collaboration with the group, the chair devises a development plan for the content of the meetings 12 months ahead.
Organiser. Takes care of the practicalities before, during and after the meetings, such as dates, hosting, topics and speakers. This allows you to focus on exchanging experience and sharing knowledge with the other members.
Knowledge bearer. Bears knowledge between the network groups, so ideas that arise are of mutual benefit to all members in the network – naturally with respect for confidentiality in the groups.
Contact person. Is your personal contact in EGN South Africa. If you are in need of help or sparring, you contact your chair, e.g. if you would like to change groups. You are always welcome to contact your network manager with questions, criticism or special requests.
